Historical note: The following document is from the series of fragments now called the Scrolls of the Agallan Foothills, which date from the chaotic period before the First Age. As with other prophecies, this fragment speaks of the Unmaker and the Defender, though the reference to "upstart seedlings" is curious. Historians have yet to propose a hypothesis on this enigmatic reference.

A force shall ascend in a new age, and raise the weapon of the Unmaker.
And it shall rouse an army.
Two upstart seedlings grown from common furrows shall uproot themselves in the light of discontent. They shall follow deep trenches sown by the dark flashing of the sword. The strength of their roots will hold them fast, though one shall fall.
And the falling shall be as the pruning of a tree, a sacrifice of one that the Other might endure. And the Other shall rise, fueled by the blood of the brother.
He who wields the Unmaker's sword shall regard not the rise of the Other, blinded by the flash of his own ambition.
And even the fallen fruit shall leave the legacy of its stone. And the stone will fit as a key in the lock of a shattered door, and the birthright shall emerge.
The spirit of the Defender shall awaken and wrap itself in new flesh.
And the Unmaker and Defender shall meet again.
