Halo 2 goes gold

As the countdown continues for one of the most highly anticipated games of this generation, Microsoft officially announced that Halo 2 has gone gold and will ship simultaneously in three countries. As previously announced, Halo 2 will launch throughout North America, Asia, New Zealand, Australia and South America. The sequel will then launch in Belgium, France and Switzerland on November 10; followed by a November 11 release hitting the rest of Europe and Japan. Halo 2 will be localized in eight languages including English, Japanese, Korean, Chinese (traditional), Spanish, French, German and Italian.
Halo 2 picks up where during the final moments where the original blockbuster head leaves off. Master Chief, with the help of a small group of marines, has destroyed the religious artifact and artificial world known as Halo, and is making his way back to Earth. Upon arrival, he and the last surviving Earth forces will mount a titanic final struggle against the marauding Covenant armada.
