Electronic Arts gave us a heads up earlier today that a free multiplayer demo of Armies of Exigo is now available for download at the game's official website..
Now players can experience the massive real-time skirmishes with a bevy of army units. For those of you not in the know, Armies of Exigo is an upcoming fantasy PC title which EA describes as breathing "new life" into the real-time strategy genre as players march elves, beasts, knights, and creatures of darkness into battle both above and below the surface.
The demo allows gamers to control three powerful races Empire, Beasts, and Fallen as they attempt to claim victory over the multilayered world of Exigo. Up to eight players can fight over four lushly detailed realms above ground or send armies underground to advance undetected, ambushing their unsuspecting enemies. Battling your way across the snowy and sinister lands of Spider Realm and through the misty woods of Fronts, it will take more than just incredible skill and strategy to be the one side left standing.
Armies of Exigo is developed by Black Hole Games and will ship to stores on November 30, sold at a MSRP of $39.95.
