Eidos along with Giant Interactive Entertainment have just announced that they have acquired the distribution rights to the upcoming game LEGO Star Wars. The game is expected in April 2005 on the PS2, Xbox, PC and GBA just one month before the epic conclusion to the Star Wars prequel trilogy hits theaters. It will be based on all three of the prequels including the upcoming film Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and is described as an "action-adventure title designed for young gamers."

Development of the console & PC versions are being handled by Traveller's Tales who are responsible for the current games Haven: Call of the King and Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex. While the GBA version will be handed off to Amaze Entertainment who developed the licensed handheld versions of Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
