Metal Gear Solid to appear at TGS 2004
We're praying Kojima delivers a full deck of suprises.

by | August 25, 2004

Konami has announced that Metal Gear Acid will be playable at this year's Tokyo Game Show, hopefully shedding some light on its purported card-based gameplay. Marking both Hideo Kojima and Solid Snake's debut on Sony's new system, Metal Gear Acid was previously shown in video form at this year's E3, but the MGS 2-like quality of detail confused as many as it impressed. Why did they choose to adopt a card game engine since the hardware proves a modern MGS game can be made portable after all? Is Konami keeping the series fresh through diversity, or is this decision (and the game's title) just further proof that Kojima's off his rocker?

All quibbles aside, look for the answers during TGS (September 24-26) as Got-Next will be on-hand to test drive Kojima's new baby.
