Midway announces Fear & Respect
John Singleton teams up with Midway for a new gritty, action game.

With the new year just a few months away, Midway briefly revealed a few details for its next upcoming action/adventure, Fear & Respect, scheduled for a fourth quarter 2005 release on the PlayStation 2 and Xbox.
Developed in collaboration with writer/director John Singleton known for his work on such films as 2 Fast 2 Furious and Boyz N the Hood, Fear & Respect will be based around the intense, urban environment of South Central Los Angeles. The game puts players in the role of a "retired" OG brought back into the fold of his gang lifestyle. Beyond that, details are light at the moment, but Midways announcement reveals the game will be a third-person action game. In other words, get ready to do lots of brawlin and shootin in an attempt to aid your crew, and maintain your rep. As the title implies, your decisions will ultimately determine if your enemies look at you with fear - or with respect.
Midway plans to reveal additional details next year. Well keep you posted.
