Major League Gaming, the preeminent worldwide console gaming league for professional video game players will be hosting their annual SoCal Slapdown event in Hollywood Sports Park doing the dates of September 25 and 26.

Players will be competing in the following games: Halo; Super Smash Brothers Melee, Gran Turismo 3, Soul Calibur II, and the N-Gage edition of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater (say what?)

The competition will feature "Zyos," the #1-ranked MLG pro player in the world. Saturday night also marks the official launch party of Greg Hastings’ Tournament Paintball, the hot new title from Activision. Oh, and how could we forget the MLG Girls (!)

On site registration begins at 8:00 on Saturday and the competition kicks off at 10:00 daily on Saturday and Sunday.
